AIG Charity Cycling Challenge
A group of AIG employees has come together to create a cycling challenge in order to support a Red Cross day centre for young people in Namur, Belgium. The day centre provides a range of services from food aid (breakfasts), hygiene (showers and laundry), basic (social) care and reintegration assistance (social workers is present) to these young people, aged between 16 to 25. Such services are unique in the region and the facilities are visited by 80 people/ day. Since the floods in 2021 in the area such demand has further increased and facilities are in desperate need for rennovation.
It is therefore that we want to support the costs for such rennovation by organzing a local cycling charity event which aims to collect the respective funds.
The event will consists of two groups of cyclists. Group 1 will do a bike tour around the AIG Office in Brussels, while Group 2 will go for a longer ride, covering 300km and 4000m in elevation departing from the AIG Luxembourg Office with the aim of finishing together with Group 1 in Brussels and rounding the day off with a BBQ with collegues, friends and sponsors.
Contributions are voluntary and can be made via this site. Funds will go directly to the Red Cross Belgium.
On behalf of all the cyclists, organizers and helpers,
Thank you
